This pendulum kit allows students to determine pendulum period (T) and to understand which parameters have an impact on the oscillation frequencies. The main body of the unit includes a boss head so it can be mounted on a retort rod and mounting for the string to allow it oscillate in front of an angle scale. 3 masses of equal volume are supplied and can be stored on the unit whilst the investigation is carried out. The string length can adjusted in 100mm increments by adding or removing a turn on the mounting. The formula between the period (T) and the string length (l) can be determined T = 2π √ (l/g).
