NIII Platforms [pair]

These trolleys are large enough for students to sit on to experience the effect of Newtons Third Law.
The strong wooden platforms measure 600 340 18mm each and are constructed from plywood with Rubber tyre wheels at each corner. The surfaces are covered in matting to provide a non- slip surface. In use, the platforms are placed in line on the floor and two students sit on them, facing each other. One student is instructed to push the other away but the end result is that both students move equal amounts.
The platforms also have many other uses e.g. in large scale load dynamics investigations when heavy weights are involved.
