Modular Electricity Kit - Basic

A durable range of kits and separate mounted magnetic components, designed to simplify the teaching of electricity and electronic circuits in the classroom. Providing a hands-on approach, students can build basic circuits to designs set by the teacher or from a textbook. Alternatively, students with a better grasp of electricity and electronics can be encouraged to design their own circuits, before proceeding to build and test the circuit.

All mounted components have magnetic bases, allowing them to be placed and held on the magnetic baseboard for a neater semi-fixed approach. Each component also includes integral 4mm safety sockets, to allow the inter-connection of different components using the special links supplied or using standard 4mm plug leads. The lower part of the component module is clear plastic, allowing full view of the component (if mounted inside), and the top includes a circuit symbol, as appropriate.

Two kits are available: a basic starter kit and a comprehensive kit both supplied in a Gratnells tray with lid. The kit components are also available separately, allowing the available kits to be extended or for bespoke kits to be compiled and purchased.

Included with each kit is a magnetic baseboard, a battery holder or power supply, a range of mounted modular components, and fixed connection links which provide an alternative way of connecting the modules without using trailing leads.
