Vibration Generator

A top quality vibration generator for producing mechanical vibrations when used with a signal generator. For experiments in producing standing waves on a string or elastic cord to demonstrate resonant frequency, harmonics, nodes and anti-nodes. Also for use in experiments with resonance in springs, Chladni plates etc.
The design includes two 4mm safety sockets for signal input and the unit is fuse-protected and lockable, to protect moving parts while changing accessories. A string holder, mounting post, and a spare fuse are included with the apparatus.
Frequency of vibration ranges from 0.1 Hz to 5 kHz, with amplitudes up to 7mm at the low end of the frequency range.
The Vibration Generator may be used sitting upright, on its side, or inclined e.g. on an OHP.
