Mixed culture of White eye fruit flies (Drosophila Melanogaster). Contains parental flies which will have laid eggs on the medium and which subsequently develop into larvae, pupae and adults. The complete life cycle from egg to adult takes about 10 days at 25°C.
On receipt, the cultures should be incubated at between 22-25°C and following pupation the newly emerged flies can be used for crossing or sub-culturing. All cultures contain approx. 25 specimens. The non-virgin flies may include some dead parents as well as the lavae you require.
